Andi has a B.C. in Early Childhood Education and has been working with children since she was in high school. Her work experience is vast. She was a preschool teacher for a private center as well as a kindergarten teacher in the public school system. Andi was also the Training and Curriculum Specialist for the Department of Defense Youth programs at Hanscom Air Force Base. She lives in Fitchburg with her two daughters and enjoys cooking and gardening.

RACHAEL O'NEIL is a teacher in the Munchkins classroom. Rachael graduated from West Springfield Senior High School and attended Holyoke Community College studying Early Childhood Education. Rachael operated her own Home Day Care business for 14 years in both Massachusetts and Connecticut. While operating her home day care, Rachael took numerous child care classes covering such topics as: nutrition and child development, the special needs child, redirecting and positive discipline, and creative play. Rachael is currently taking Elementary Education classes and will be certified to teach through second grade when done. She enjoys spending time with her children and family. Her hobbies include hiking, baking, cake decorating, knitting and crocheting. Rachael loves going to Boston Red Sox games and antique car shows.

LOU ANN LEHAN has been a Guppie Room teacher at NCDC for almost 4 years. She has a Certificate in Early Childhood Education from Holyoke Community College. She has worked in this field fro about 25 years. Her experience working with children includes infants & toddlers, preschool, after school care and working with special needs children in the Ashburnham/Westminster area. Here at NCDC she has watched families grow and siblings come through the school and considers it an honor and a privilege to be part of such amazing families.

LAUREN BOOTH is a Guppies teacher, she is new to NCDC and is fully enjoying working with her classroom. Lauren has a bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Ed. and has always wanted to work with children. Lauren is learning new things everyday and this has brought much excitement to her life!

ROBIN WILSON is one of our "irreplaceable" Duckings Teachers. As long as Robin can remember she's always enjoyed playing, working and learning with children. Babysitting turned into camp counseling, which led Robin towards acquiring her Teaching Certificate and she is currently pursuing her degree in Early Childhood Education. She came to NCDC in 1999 in search of a job closer to home, and fell in love with the warm atmosphere and kind families the center was filled with. Over the years, Robin has formed lasting friendships with many families whose children have been Duckings that she still keeps in touch with today. Robin is "very proud to say that I am NCDC's senior employee and I view my place of work as a second home".

DEBORAH VALLEE became a Ducking Room teacher at NCDC on August 28, 2000, which was straight from graduating college. She went to Fitchburg State and studied Early Childhood Education and minored in Sociology. Debbie has been working with children of all ages for about 19 years (my favorite age being babies), but she does enjoy the 3 year olds, "they surra keep you on your toes!". Her special interests are being with family and friends, taking pictures, scrapbooking, card making, and making cakes. According to Debbie, "my first job was working at the Dutch Kitchen (Fitchburg) so I was lucky enough to learn that trade also!!!".

DENISE CARON is a Pre-K teacher.

KERI MAZZA is a Pre-K teacher.

NCDC & "Monty Tech" Affiliation

The Northwest Child Development Centers and the  Montachusett Regional Technical High School (Monty Tech) have enjoyed a very nice relationship together for several years as part of the Early Education Program offered at the high school. The Monty Tech students, usually juniors or seniors, spend four "school days" per week every other week at NCDC where they can actually "work" in a preschool program to gain valuable experience with the opportunity to apply what they learn at Monty Tech in a real setting. NCDC surrently has five Monty Tech students participating this semester. The MT students can graduate and be Teacher Certified by the Mass Department of Early Education and Care. We also have a Monty Tech graduate now employed for NCDC (since high school), and who is continuing her education at the same time.
