Sick Children Policy

Okay, here it comes - the flu and cold season. BOO!

We need your help to get us through this time of the year. Families should remember that sick children have and are no fun. Sending a child who is ill to school risks the chance of spreading the illness throughout the entire school. Please review our Sick Child Policy in your Parent Handbook. You probably would not want your child to be unnecessarily exposed to illness, so please work with us.

Children with fevers, severe colds & coughs, communicable diseases (including head lice), sore throats (strep), vomiting or diarrhea that is not controllable, etc. will not be admitted to the center until a health care practitioner approves of the child's return. Children present at the school who exhibit these symptoms will be sent home.

"We suggest that you arrange for "back-up" care with a granparent, relative or family friend when your child is ill".

Here's a tip: "A child who is unable to participate comfortably in both indoor and outdoor activities should not be sent to school. We have a very busy day. WE CAN NOT KEEP A CHILD INSIDE WHEN THE GROUP GOES OUTSIDE (not allowed by state regulations).

WEATHER ADVISORY

Look here for weather related announcements. Yep, it snowed finally (Jan 12), but not enough to close. Drive carefully.

KEEP LOOKING !

We would to encourage you to participate in our WEB SITE. There are blogs, like this one, where you can make a comment, offer advice to others, tell us what you think of our schools and of course, let your child's teacher know how you feel about the program. By "participating" you can help families who are looking for child care know that we are one of the area's premier preschools (Leominster & Fitchburg) and School-Age Program (Fitchburg).
