MEET OUR STAFF
NCDC & Monty Tech Affiliation
The Northwest Child Development Center and the Montachusett Regional Technical High School (Monty Tech) have enjoyed a very nice relationship together for several years as part of the Early Education Program offered at the high school. The Monty Tech students, usually juniors or seniors, spend four “school days” per week every other week at NCDC where they can actually “work” in a preschool program to gain valuable experience with the opportunity to apply what they learn at Monty Tech in a real setting. NCDC has had up to five Monty Tech students participating in a semester. The MT students can graduate and be Teacher Certified by the Mass Department of Early Education and Care. We also have former Monty Tech graduates employed at NCDC. The extra benefit of our affiliation with Monty Tech is that we can train the students the way we want them to be as preschool teachers!
